Round Rock, Texas (April 11, 2024) – KingsIsle Entertainment – the development team behind critically acclaimed free-to-play MMORPGs Wizard101 and Pirate101 – is excited to announce its very first single-player game, Ravenwood Academy: A Wizard101 Story. Coming to Windows PC via Steam, the narrative life sim and visual novel is a prequel set in the same Spiral setting as Wizard101.In Ravenwood Academy, players will don their robes and raise their wands as students at the titular school, a beloved setting from Wizard101. Across each in-game day – split into four time slots – players must balance a busy class schedule with extracurricular hijinks such as investigating magical mysteries, completing a variety of fun mini-games, and building relationships with students and teachers – including with past versions of some familiar faces from Wizard101!

At times, Ravenwood Academy players will swap their wizard hats to become problem-solvers, detectives, and even pseudo-lawyers! The game’s main narrative is driven by Crisis Incidents, Investigation Scenes, and Trials.

When an incident occurs on campus, it is up to you and your friends to search for clues and interview witnesses, culminating in faculty hearings with options to present evidence depending on the choices you’ve made along the way. Will you save a friend accused of misdeeds or use the gathered information to save yourself? Multiple ending scenes will be based on the outcome of the trials, who you have befriended, and other decisions you make during your semester at Ravenwood Academy.

The Spiral is made better with friends, and relationship-building is a core objective of Ravenwood Academy. Progress through the storyline with potential friends, encountering various tests, obstacles, and branching dialogue options that can influence your relationships. Earn trust to grow your relationships and unlock optional scenes. Through player actions, spurned friends may turn into rivals, while friendships with a high enough relationship level can, if you choose, turn into budding romances!

Key Features of Ravenwood Academy:

Foster Relationships: Interact and create connections with diverse characters as you navigate your new school. Who you deem friend or foe will impact your story and unlock special scenes and branching dialogue options. Choose carefully – you won’t have the time or ability to build relationships with everyone you want to.
Choose Your Path: Decide what activities are most meaningful to you and see how your decisions impact your outcomes. Will you go to the dance or investigate a mystery? Will you hang out with Dalia Falmea or study for a quiz with Halston Balestrom? Choices that may seem small can potentially have large ripple effects.
Investigate Strange Incidents: Search for clues and interview witnesses when crises unfold at the academy. During your investigation, you might find that not everyone is who they seem to be.
Test Yourself with Trials: Plead your case during faculty disciplinary hearings and present evidence through dialogue options. Sometimes you’ll be saving a friend accused of misdeeds, while other times you might be trying to save your own hide!

The Wizard101 community gets an exciting early look at Wallaru on test servers before the new world officially goes live.

Austin, Texas – October 30, 2023 – KingsIsle Entertainment and gamigo are opening access on special test servers to Wallaru, the fourth and final world of Wizard101’s fourth story arc. From Eucalyptus Forest to the Wobbegong Territory, the mysterious world is home to koalas, kangaroos, wallabys, and wombats. Inspired by Australia at the turn of the 20^th century, Wallaru is the land of the Outback, where inspiration awaits those who can reach and become one with The Dreaming.

Players begin their tour of Wallaru in Hope Springs and then move into the Outback, seeking the fabled Dreaming while engaging in adventurous quests all along the way. Can players ease tensions between the local factions and open the way to The Dreaming? Will the answers they find there bring peace to the living world of Novus before the Spiral goes to war? Or will a lurking evil turn the dream into a nightmare?

The new world is also part of Wizard101’s latest complete update, which introduces the Guild Museum where you can immortalize your guild’s adventures. Players will also be able to level their characters to 170 from the current level 160.

Austin, Texas – October 4, 2023 – KingsIsle Entertainment today announced the release of Pirate101’s latest update, Sinbad Chapter 3: Wheels within Wheels. The new update features the return of old companions and enemies, as well as an entirely new story chapter, reviving the main story of Pirate101.

This update also adds the “trashiest” new weapons around – complete with new unique powers and better stats. From a long-range wand that comes with a dangerously toxic power, to a sneaky strike that’ll leave your enemies at a loss as to who or what they were hit with. Who knew a moldy sandwich (this sandwich is NOT fit for consumption), or broken stop sign could be so effective? Weapons aren’t the only treasures found in these sewers! Players can also acquire 3 unique sets of hats, robes and shoes with powerful and desirable abilities.

New Crying Sky Raid Update Delivers New Content, Customization Options, and Event Updates

AUSTIN, TX – July 26, 2023 – KingsIsle Entertainment, renowned creator of the popular MMORPG Wizard101, is excited to announce the launch of its latest update, The Crying Sky Raid. This innovative release introduces several new features to enhance gameplay, including an eagerly anticipated new guild boss challenge, increased customization options including name and gender changing and new PvE and PvP events.

The highly anticipated Crying Sky Raid is the heart of this update, a brand-new guild boss challenge that will push even the most experienced wizards to their limits. In this thrilling team raid for max level wizards, players will return to the ruins of the world of Azteca, fighting a cult of insane dinosaurs in an epic battle against a Cosmic Horror. The raid adds a fresh dimension of strategy and collaboration to the game, offering exciting raid gear and other rewards, such as new gear, pets, and jewels for taking on the unprecedented puzzle challenges.

The update will also give players more character personalization options than ever before with the new name and gender change feature. Players will now have the freedom to change their characters’ names and gender one (and only one) time, offering the opportunity to redefine their wizard’s identity. Also added are a bunch of new names to select from to make each wizard even more distinct.

Further enhancements include updates to Challenge Mode, an option for players to experience boss fights at two different difficulty levels and their resulting rewards. The enhancements create a more tailored gaming experience that suits players of different skill levels.

Unique rewards are also up for grabs, including new event pets and beastforms. These updates take the fun, excitement, and competitive spirit of these events to new heights.

Lastly, The Crying Sky Raid update also improves the Hatchmaking Kiosk, giving players the ability to expand their pet collection and, best of all, making it easier to hatch their pets with a friend or another player. Players can search the kiosk, see if the owner of a pet is online, and then hatch with them in person for half the normal hatching cost. Pets hatched this way allow them to earn lending rewards, giving players the opportunity to really grow their pet collection.

The cream of the crop can earn some seriously stylin’ prizes and gain street cred as the top fashionista in the Hall of Fame.

If players are not quite ready to traverse the catwalk, they can rate others’ styles, try out new designs in the Fashion Studio, or browse the leaderboards for their next hot new look.

There will also be special Rate My Stitch events themed around different styles with lucrative rewards like new gear. Another reward players may earn in these events is a Stitch Token. With a Stitch Token you may stitch or unstitch a piece of gear for free.
